The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) provided free rides to 14,049 government employees on LRT Line 2 from September 18 to 20, 2023, in celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA).

LRTA offered free rides to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of government employees. The free rides not only alleviated the daily commute for thousands of public workers but also showcased LRTA’s commitment to promoting appreciation for civil service.

LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando Cabrera stated, “We at LRTA are proud to have served over 14,000 government employees during this special period. Offering free rides on LRT Line 2 is our way of expressing gratitude for their dedication and selfless service to the Filipino people.”

In recognition of this initiative, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) acknowledged LRTA’s efforts in supporting the PCSA celebration. The Commission expressed its gratitude for LRTA’s generous gesture, which aligns with the government’s goal of honoring and appreciating public servants.
