The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) has released its Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Manual, marking a significant advancement in strengthening workplace safety protocols. This 246-page manual establishes the framework for maintaining and enhancing safety measures aimed at protecting LRTA employees.

“LRTA is dedicated to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and personnel. We recognize that having a comprehensive and responsive OSH Manual is crucial for enhancing employee well-being,” stated LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera.

The LRTA OSH Manual complies with the CSC-DOH-DOLE Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, S. 2020, which establishes essential safety and health protocols in the public service sector. The said joint memorandum circular is aligned with Republic Act No. 11058 which mandates occupational safety and health standards.

“LRTA is committed to the continuous improvement of its OSH management system through regular audits, performance evaluations, and stakeholder feedback, all aimed at enhancing occupational health and safety performance,” Cabrera added.

This initiative underscores LRTA’s commitment to workplace safety, focusing on creating a conducive work environment that prioritizes employee health and safety.
