The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) received a prestigious recognition award for its unwavering support of programs benefiting the Filipino people during the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) 90th anniversary celebration.

LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando Cabrera accepted the award from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and PCSO General Manager Mel Robles at a ceremony held on October 30 at the Manila Hotel.

This recognition comes on the heels of a Memorandum of Agreement signed between LRTA and PCSO on October 16, which aims to enhance public access to PCSO’s programs.

In addition, LRTA’s dedication to providing SAFER and more CONVENIENT service to passengers will be further strengthened with the provision of medical equipment from PCSO for emergency situations along the LRT Line 2.

The award was presented during a joint celebration of PCSO’s anniversary and the National Day of Charity, which seeks to encourage government agencies and the public to engage in initiatives that support Filipinos in need.
