The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) recently conducted an Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support training for its frontline service personnel on March 12-13, 2025, at the Social Hall, LRTA Line 2 Depot in Santolan, Pasig City.

The training, organized by LRTA’s Human Resource Management Division in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross, Rizal Chapter-Pasig-Pateros Branch, aims to ensure the safety and welfare of the riding public by equipping frontline service personnel with knowledge and skills to respond effectively during emergencies.

The two-day training covered critical emergency response procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, automated external defibrillator (AED) operation, and basic first aid interventions.

“We regularly conduct basic life support training in LRTA to strengthen our emergency response capabilities. This prepares our frontline staff to handle medical emergencies that may occur within our facilities” said LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera.

LRTA remains committed to enhancing the capabilities of its personnel to provide an efficient and safer commuting environment for our passengers.
