In celebration of the National Day of Charity on October 30, 2024, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) signed a Memorandum of Agreement on October 16, 2024, to support this significant day.

The agreement was signed by LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera and PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, establishing a mutually beneficial partnership. As part of the agreement, LRTA will provide free advertising space to promote the National Day of Charity, while PCSO will supply medical equipment and supplies to LRTA. 

This collaboration aims to raise awareness for charitable causes and support public health initiatives by leveraging the strengths of both agencies for the benefit of Filipino commuters.

LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera stated, “LRTA is committed to supporting initiatives and partnerships that enrich our communities. We will continue to seek partnerships that enable us to contribute meaningfully to national causes while serving our passengers.”
